CYCLOPS Second Training Workshop

Description
This is a grid user tutorial, oriented to Civil Protection applications community, with both theoretical and hands-on sessions. A session with examples of Civil Protection applications successfully ported on the grid is also scheduled. Only a basic knowledge of Linux user environment (Shell, SSH) is requested by each trainee to follow the course.

We would like you to register for this event as soon as possible, and anyway before the 15th April 2008. Please click here to register. Registering for this event does not imply reserving accommodation . This must be done with the hotels directly, as described below.

ACCOMMODATION

  • We have booked in advance 25 single rooms, from Sunday 4th to Wednesday 7th of May at the at the Panorama Hotel
  • Accommodation has to be confirmed by you directly with the TRAVEL AGENCY (refer. "Cyclops tutorial") filling this accommodation form, selecting the price per room/day, taxes and breakfast included, and the additional (optional) requested services

GENERAL INFO The workshop is locally organised by the Laboratory of Geophysics & Seismology, Technological Educational Institute of Crete - Civil Protection - Chania Prefecture, and will take place in Chania

ACCESS TO VENUE The workshop will be held in the conference room of the Panorama Hotel, P.O. Box 73 Kato Galatas - 731 00 Galatas. It is located in the Prefecture of Chania, western Crete. It is just 19 km away from the Chania International Airport (CHQ) and 155 km from Heraklion International Airport (HRQ). Flights timetable is available on the accommodation form, where you can also book your taxi transfers from/to the Chania airport.
