Abstract submission opening day: 03 March 2014
Abstract submission deadline: 06 May 2014

Oral and poster contributions are welcome on subjects within the scope of the workshop.

Authors are requested to submit abstracts, no later than April 14th, 2014. Authors will be informed of the acceptance of their contribution (oral or poster) before May 15th.
The talks will be allocated the following times:
  • 50 minutes for our Honorary speaker (45' + 5' for questions)
  • 30 minutes for our Invited speakers (25'+ 5' for questions)
  • 20 minutes for contributed talks (15'+ 5' minutes for questions).
The abstracts of all accepted contributions will be published in the digital book of abstract, which will be distributed to all participants during the workshop.
Please, remember that only abstracts of registered participants who have paid the registration will be included in the proceedings and in the book of abstracts.

Instructions for Abstracts

To keep the interest of IWORID at the highest level, to which many of you are used to, here are a few rules that will be applied for the selection of the abstracts:
  • Only abstracts containing new and not previously published work will be accepted
  • A Corresponding Author can submit only one abstract
  • If an abstract is selected for a poster presentation, the Corresponding Author should be present next to his/her poster during the poster session. Unattended posters will not be allowed to publish a proceeding.
And finally, please, keep in mind that the authors should address the following topics in their abstracts: (1) Aim of the work presented, (2) Methods and techniques employed, (3) Results, (4) comparison with other work and (5) Future prospects.
The abstract length is 2500 characters.

Proceedings

The proceedings of the workshop, for oral contributions and posters, will be published after peer review, in a special issue of the Journal of Instrumentation (JINST). JINST submission instructions will be given later on.
